Today many Americans will celebrate the birthday of a great
nation. It is quite possible that it may
be the last time we celebrate that event.
Only people who believe that decadence is progress would think
otherwise. The political, cultural, and
religious sectors are in full-blown moral deterioration. I liken the religious sector as the immune
system of a nation. When Christianity is
strong, the diabolical diseases that infect our society are driven back. However, the immune system of America is very
weak and on the verge of collapse. It
has been compromised from within and from the top down. Christian leaders did not resist infiltration
of New Age mystics and other individuals hostile to Christianity, but instead have
accepted their pagan mysticism. The
so-called laity of professing Christians are also to blame for this tragedy of
errors. They failed to study and gain
knowledge from God’s word, they ignored the Holy Spirit until their spiritual
ears became callused, they imbibed to the point of drunkenness from the cesspools
of the worlds system, and they drizzled away every bit of spiritual energy on
their follies while failing to replace it. As a result, they became willful
targets for deception of the worst sort.
Therefore, we will grill hotdogs, watch fireworks, maybe get
a day off from work, and enjoy a festive spirit on this Independence Day. But our celebration belies the fact that our
nation is in grave danger of collapsing as a democracy established on Christian
principles and the integrity and courage of patriotic leadership. Only a small minority are willing to recognize
this danger. Other ones are burying
their heads in what’s left of the benefits of Americanism and whistling past
the graveyard. They are not going to
accept the truth until it is forced on them by the preponderance of reality. Even then they will not try to resist the
encroachment of evil but instead seek for a way to appease it so that they may cling
to their beloved comfort zones.
Why do I want to write such a depressing analogy and dishearten
everyone on a holiday? Because people
should have awakened to the approaching darkness years ago. They should have recognized the incoming evil
and the ones bringing it and resisted or rejected it all. Instead, they chose to immerse themselves in
a false security of “hope and change”.
When there was overwhelming evidence that something was dreadfully
wrong, and they had the opportunity to change it, they chose to continue on the
same path. They will celebrate today
believing that they have made the right choices. I will celebrate today as if it might be the
last celebration.
The truth is that it makes no difference if we are freed
from the dominance of a ruthless nation over 200 years ago if our own
government has now assumed the same degree of ruthlessness. It makes no difference if we escaped
religious oppression centuries ago if today Christianity is morphing into a
religion worse than the one that oppressed us.
I cannot find hope in our present society that despises the very ones
who made it free, that slaughters its offspring by the millions, that supports
sexual perversion, and that revels in iniquity while bashing and ridiculing
godliness.
Our political, social, and religious leaders have ordered
rebellion against God and everything He provides. They want to infuse the European spirit into America’s
culture. The European spirit is an old
principality of darkness that has all but destroyed Christianity in
Europe. They want all nations, all
religions, and all cultures, to merge into one big happy family. Their goal is to erase the remaining visages
of God and create a unified global antichrist society.
While I tend to look at the glass as half full, it is
impossible for me to ignore the obvious when only a few drops remain. It is also impossible for me to ignore the
scriptural precedent of what happens to a nation when it rejects God. What they have sown, they will reap. So this morning, before I prepare for my
family to join us in the celebration, I will pray. It is likely that I will at some point
weep. I will again experience the harsh
reality of what we once were and what we will inevitably become. There will be periods of happiness and even
joy in the future. But I know that the
brightest hope is the fact that Christ is soon coming to gather His remnant and
set the world on fire with His wrath.
When all reverts to eternity, there will be no more despots, no
perverts, no heretics, and other individuals that follow Satan. God’s people will live in eternal peace and
joy. My independence day over 35 years
ago grants me the privilege of residence in God’s eternal kingdom. When all is said and done, that is the only
thing that really matters.
